Welcome to Mahanoy Area Middle School’s new website.

Mahanoy Area Middle School is an exciting and challenging time for children both educationally and socially.  Mahanoy Area offers comprehensive academic and social programs to stimulate and challenge our students in a supportive environment.  This website has been developed to help you learn as much as possible about the services we offer our students.  You will find this website extremely useful as we proceed through the school year.

The middle school years are very exciting, and it is my sincere wish that they will be years in which our students will learn a great deal about the world around them, about themselves, and about the connection between the two.  This concept of learning extends to everything they do, whether it is participating in a class, playing a musical instrument, writing for our school newspaper, The Paw Print, participating in a sport, or even meeting with the Principal to better understand the consequences of their actions. 

A great deal of learning will also take place in the social areas, as we come together each and every day as a community of faculty, staff, students, parents and guests.  Middle School is the most challenging period in a young person’s life, and it is important that we work together to make it a productive and memorable experience as we maintain the BEAR PRIDE and tradition that has molded a quality educational program at Mahanoy Area for many years to come.
